Melissa Vergeson

Melissa Vergeson is Chief of the Bureau of Medicaid Quality at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. A 25-year veteran of state government, her career has been devoted to health care. Her experience includes Medicaid policy development, Medicaid managed care plan contracting and compliance, serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Children’s Medical Services Specialty Plan, and oversight of the Department of Elder Affairs CARES program responsible for assessments of nursing home residents and applicants for the Medicaid long-term care waiver.
