Steven Smith, M.D., currently serves as chief scientific officer and senior vice president for AdventHealth, providing oversight of all research activities within the hospital system. His deep understanding of obesity pathobiology and medical treatment dovetails with the other experts in the OneFlorida Clinical Data Research Network who specialize in behavioral / lifestyle interventions, PROs, pediatric obesity, obesity in the elderly, stigma and bias, and the medical complications of obesity.
